How to Read an EV Deal Score
Learn how EV Car Expert's Deal Score compares electric car prices to local comparable listings so you can spot fair value before you buy.
What the Deal Score measures
The Deal Score is a 0–100 rating based on how an EV's asking price compares to similar electric vehicles listed nearby. Higher scores mean stronger value relative to local comps. It uses year, make, model, trim, mileage, and listing freshness — not guesses from AI.
How to use it while shopping
Start with listings scoring 70 or above when you want strong value. Scores in the 50–69 range may still be fair depending on trim and equipment. Below 50 often signals the asking price is above the local market — a good cue to negotiate or keep shopping.
What it does not tell you
Deal Scores reflect pricing, not battery health, accident history, or mechanical condition. Pair the free score with a Complete Analysis report or an independent inspection before you buy.
FAQ
- Is a Deal Score the same as an appraisal?
- No. It is a market comparison based on active EV listings, not a formal vehicle appraisal.
